"They still have feet." Ruhe said. Once I had a whole pack of them hunting me on the ground. They nearly got me." Ruhe shuddered.

Ruhe stared at him. "Fine. I'mgoing to head back east." he felt guilty about leaving Alex, but he wasn't about to risk going back to the School to save someone he hardly knew.

Rhore waved and flew back toward Colorado.
Eagled flew to a town and got a map. SHe saw she was in Colorado, near the Wyoming border.

Eagle spotted an even larger bird. 'No bird is that big,' SHe thought and flew toward it.
