Nike smelled blood and followed the scent to a cave and saw cats inside, too many to take on and turned around.

Binti padded through the forest. After awhile she stopped and turned to her daughter. "Stop following me, it's time for you to go out on your own, the pack is no more." she turned and left her daughter staring after her.

Nike walked out of the trees at the shore of the lake and sat down.

Jih looked out of the forest at the lake and noticed a wolf sitting there. She sat down and watched him.
