Pantherpaw climbed up a path that led to the top of the cliff.

Sparticus looked up from hunting and saw another cat appear oover the side of the cliff. He narrowed his eyes and moved closer.

Pantherpaw saw Sparticus coming oward him. He instinctively craouched and flattened his ears.
Sparticus immediately recognized his kit. He chuckled. "So you've comoe to me noow? Did your mother tell you the truth and you realized that you shouldn't be with that pack of mangy excses for cats?"
Pantherpaw was puzzled, "I-I just came to ask you a few questions, you-you know, you being my mom's brother and everything I thought you might be able to tell me a few things that my dad can't answer."
Sparticus threw back his head and laughed uproarouosely.
Pantherpaw was taken aback, "What's so ofunny?"
"Youo, kit. You actually believe the tails your moother has spun for you? Sparticus said. "I'm not Orcafur's brother. I was her mate until Tigerfierce came along."Sparticus growled. "We had a kit you knoow, but I never saw it when it was born."
Pantherpaw flicked his tail, "Well I'm sorry about that. It has nothing to do with me. I-I guess you can't help me than." then pantherpaw remebered something, "Wait a second.... If youo were my mom's mate then hoow do oI look like......." Realization dawned in Panherpaw's eyes. He backed away. "No." he stopped only when a paw slipped off of the cliff edge.
"Careful kit." Sparticus said.
"Stop calling me kit!" Pantherpaw hissed.
"Well I'd call you something else but I don't know your name." Sparticus said.
"It's Pantherpaw. Why didn't mother tell me?!" he cried. "Why'd she let me believe Tigerfierce was my father?"
"Probably because she hates me and doesn't want anything to do owith me. She's a two-faced vixen, Pantherpaw, I'd watch out."Sparticus said, "One day she says she loves youo and then the other day she says she hates youo and she doesn't want anything to do owith youo and oh yeah, there's someone else that I love more than you." Sparticus spat bitterly.
Everything was suddenly fitting together nicely. "Is that why Tigerfierce hates you?"
Sparticus shrugged, "I would assume so, unless I've done something else to offend his royal self."
Pantherpaw looked at himself as best he couold and then looked at Sparticus. As far as he couold tell he looked exactly like Sparticus, his father/ "That's why he hates me." Panther[aw murmured.

Razor finished the rabbit and stood up. HE looked around the forest then turned and walked to the TOrnadoclan border. He crossed it and headed for the den he had lived in, hoping River and her kits still lived in the clearing.
Dragon looked down the cliff.

Sparticus flicked his tail. "Don't get worked up over it, Pantherpaw. Having his approval isn't the best thing you could have."
Pantherpaw looked at Sparticus. "I'm not staying here with you. My place is in Rainclan."
Sparticus narrowed his eyes. "Why would you choose them over me?" he growled.
"Because that's where I grew up and I intend to be a soldier and live up to my soldier name." Pantherpaw said.
Sparticus smiled and nodded, "That's a reason I can honor." he licked his sons head. "Visit me sometime and I'll teach you some moves that Tigerfierce can't."
Pantherpaw nodded. "I will, I promise." he turned and padded down the path.
Sparticus watched him go.

Pantherpaw padded back toward Rainclan territory. He thought about what he had learned. Now everything made sense! He found that he wasn't mad at his mother either, he could understand why she would want to protect him, although he couldn't decide how he felt towards Tigerfierce.
Nightowl lapped water from the lake.

Nightowl took the two mice to her den, below the roots of a large tree. There she ate one of the mice.

Today, I drove by a church, and the sign read "Jesus, the one man you don't need Twitter to follow." it made my day
