The cat leaped on top of Bulletspeed and dug his claws into her pelt.
Earthfierce struggled out of the bush and tackled the tom.

Bulletspeed stood there while the tom attacked her, but sprang into action as soon as he was off. She leaped at him and tore his should to the bone.

The tom screeched. He kicked Earthfierce off and swiped at BUlletspeed. Earthfierce leape on the tom again and bit down on the tom's leg.

Bulletspeed dodged the swipe and turned her attention to tearing at his head.

The tom squealed and rolled away from Bulletspeed's claws. He jumped to his paws and pelted away.
Earthfierce watched the tom go. He sat down on the ground.

Bulletspeed's knees gave way and she fell to the ground.

Earthfierce looked at Bulletspeed. "Are you okay?" he asked, concern in his voice.

Earthfierce sat back. "I'll heal. What are you doing here?" he asked.

"Because I couldn't let you walk away form your clan," Bulletspeed mewed.

Earthfierce growled. "I'm not walking away from my clan." He thought of the long journey he had gone on and nothing looking familiar and then Mousefern abandoning him. He realized Bulletspeed must have been right. He tried to unsheathe his claws, but realized he no longer had them. Earthfierce sighed. "Maybe I am. They're better off without me anyway. How can I lead a clan without any claws?" He turned and padded into the trees, tail dragging.

Today, I drove by a church, and the sign read "Jesus, the one man you don't need Twitter to follow." it made my day
