Stormpaw curled up in his nest. He woke himself coughing. He walked to Smallfeather," I think I'm sick," he said between coughs.

Smallfeather frowned and inspected Stormpaw. "It looks like you might have early stages of White cough, but don't be alarmed, you are a strong young cat and will be able to get over it. For now I want t you to stay in my den until it clears up, that means no training." Smallfeather said sternly, "I don't want it to get worse." Smallfeather gave some herbs to Stormpaw, "Here, eat these and lay down in this nest. " He indicated a nest with his tail, " And tell me if it gets any worse."

"What, no training? but our clan needs me-," he was cut off by more coughing. He laid down in a nest feeling worse now.

"Don't argue." Smallfeather hissed, "If this isn't controlled it could become Greencough and spread throughout camp and potentiallly kill cats. NOw do you want that to happen?" Smallfeather didn't want to scare the young apprentice but he needed Stormpaw to listen to what he told him.

"No I guess I don't, but I still want to patrol, we are low on warriors and apprentices so we need everyone we can get," Stormpaw mewed but coughed again.
Lionfierce walked to the apprentices' den and didn't see his apprentice. He walked to the Healer's den and heard Stormpaw coughing.
"Is my apprentice sick?" he demanded," too sick to train?"

"YEs, he's sick" Smallfeather said. "His isn't allowed to train until that cough goes away. If he rests it shouldn't take more than two or three days."

"Alright, have you seen Earthfire?" answered Lionfierce.
Stormpaw coughed again and again, feeling worse with each one.

"OK, I'll find him," Lionfierce padded out of the den and stuck his head in the Warriors' den and saw Earthfire." Earthfire, come with me on border patrol," He instructed.
Stormpaw ate the herbs and fell back asleep.

Earthfire got up with a groan and followed Lionfierce.
Darkness opened her eyes and yawned, "So when can I get out of here?"
Smallfeather looked around and examined her wound, "Your wound is healing well, maybe another two or three days."
Darkness suppressed a groan. She would have left a long time ago if it wasn't for that stupid cat that had found her.

Lionfierce padded to their Fireclan border and saw more monsters, huge clawed ones sleeping, probably gaining strength for who knows what. He remarked the scent markers and decided that they should hunt too, seeing as they only have two soldiers fit to do anything.
Stormpaw woke up, his throat sore. He coughed again.
