Firpaw stood at the bottom and looked up at them.

Starling walked into the room and froze. "Who are they?" she hissed.

Firpaw took half a step forward, in front of Wolfpaw.

Lightening padded forward. "these are my friends."
Starling sniffed the air. She padded farther into the room. "They're not house cats." she said, looking at the two clan cats warily. "Where do they come from?"
"They live on their own, without twolegs." Lightening said.
Starling flicked her tail. "Your mother isn't going to like this."

LIghtening lowered her ears.
Starling padded forward. "Jessie doesn't like half the things that go on in this house, but that doesn't mean we tip toe around her." Starling smiled. "As far as I'm concerned, your welcome. I just ask that you stay out of the way of our housefolk."
